Bedminster Property Partnership seeks Directors

The Bedminster Property Partnership, a collaboration between Bristol City Council, Windmill Hill City Farm, Action Greater Bedminster, Share Bristol, and Ocean Estate agents is seeking people to join its board of directors.

The newly formed Community Interest Company (CIC) seeks to encourage more local independent businesses, community organisations, and other socially-trading organisations to locate to or stay in Bedminster by helping to negotiate long-term, secure and affordable leases or community ownership of buildings.

The Bedminster Property Partnership is one of five pilot projects around the UK which is supported by Platform Places and funded by the National Lottery Communities Fund.

The programme aims to bring local authorities together with community groups, property owners and agents, elected members and other local stakeholders to negotiate leases that benefit the whole community.

Bristol City Council is supporting the development of the Bedminster Property Partnership as part of the Bedminster Green regeneration programme.

The partnership is specifically looking for people with skills in property, facilities management, community development, fundraising and finance, communications and movement building, and social enterprise governance. People with other skills and experience are also encouraged to apply.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on 3 April. Further detail on the role and how to apply can be found here.
