Oasis Academy Temple Quarter new temporary school on Spring Street
Staff and students from Oasis Academy Temple Quarter were thrilled to start 2024 in their new temporary school building on Spring Street, which is part of the Whitehouse Street regeneration area.
The academy opened in September 2023 in an existing building on the Oasis Academy Brislington campus while the academy’s Spring Street home was under construction.
Along with general teaching classrooms, the school’s new facilities include science labs, a multi-use games area, specialist art rooms, and a canteen.
Oasis Academy Temple Quarter will remain at Spring Street while its permanent home on Silverthorne Lane is being built.
John Barneby, Oasis Community Learning interim CEO, said:
“We are delighted that Oasis Academy Temple Quarter students and staff have moved into their temporary home on Spring Street. It marks an important moment for the academy and its commitment to delivering an exceptional education.”
Goram Homes, Bristol City Council’s housing company, will develop new homes on Spring Street once the school has moved to a permanent location, helping to meet the high demand for council or social rented housing, and market sale, in the city.
